Don’t Worry Darling (A life-changing movie)

It was a Saturday afternoon when my friend and I decided to go and see the movie “Don’t Worry Darling”. Both of us are fans of Harry Styles so obviously we wanted to see his new movie the day it came out; going into the movie theater we didn’t know what to expect.

After seeing the trailer and waiting for almost a year for the movie to release we didn’t want to get our hopes up too much just in case the movie didn’t meet our expectations.

Walking out of the movie theater we were in awe of how amazing the movie was.

Don’t Worry Darling is a psychedelic thriller based on the 50’s starring Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, Olivia Wilde, Chris Pine, and Gemma Chan.

This movie was beautifully directed by Olivia Wilde, and is a great mind twisting movie. This movie is an amazing way of representing the daily living of a married woman in the 50s.

I can see 18 year olds loving this movie and 70 year olds loving this movie because of its timelessness.

In this movie you will experience the so-called “perfect life” in the eutopia called “Victory”. Since this movie is based off of the 50s, this movie is set in a place where the women stay home to cook, clean, and take care of the kids. While the men go to work in order to provide for their families.

While Alice is home and preparing dinner for Jack; things start to go out of place, her suspicions of her husband and the other men in her home town are going up. Alice soon realizes that none of the women in the town actually know where their husbands are going to work.

Whenever Alice asks Jack what exactly he does for work he says he is working for the “Victory Project” which is located at “Headquarters”.  Alice’s suspicions are getting high so she decides to take a trip to “headquarters” without Jack knowing.

After she does so it changes the story tremendously and she soon realizes that their perfect life in Victory isn’t so perfect after all.

This movie is an inspiration to women of all ages, and I think this is a perfectly written and directed movie.

The actors and actresses did such an amazing job at portraying their characters and you feel what the characters are feeling.

You almost feel as though you are inside the movie, and even walking out of the theaters you will still feel the intense feelings that the movie left you with.
